so BREAST CANCER, including ALL cancers, is a subtopic of this post. 

i recently attended a breast cancer awareness conventionesque thing, and i picked up so much knowledge that it really impacted me to spread this information. 

FACTS: 

-1 in 8 women will get breast cancer in america. 

-somewhere in the world, a woman dies from breast cancer EVERY 68 SECONDS.

-another woman is diagnosed EVERY 3 MINUTES.

HAVE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT BREAST HEALTH!

-if you are a woman  20 years or older, make sure that you have a clinical exam at least every 3 years.

-if you are 40 or older, have clinical exams and mammograms EVERY YEAR.

- know what is normal for yourself and KNOW YOUR RISK! 

risks of getting breast cancer are being a woman and getting older. (though there have been male cases of breast cancer!)

- know your family's health history

-maintain a healthy lifestyle! 

- early detection SAVES LIVES.

dyed hair ends. still not over it. i love the playfulness and wow factor of it. i was actually considering doing it to my hair this past summer (like a lavender color) but i don't think it would work well with my almost black hair lol.

i absolutely adoreee my new vest from ASOS! i took advantage of their free international shipping and bought this vest. i've been looking for a fur vest for a long time, but they were too pricey, so i think this shag serves as a great alternative. (however, i'm still looking for a faux fur/shag coat!)
the weather is down to a chill 68 F, i feel like fall/winter is finally kicking in! i'm so sorry about my lack of posts, the past few days has been rain and my camera was acting up ONCE AGAIN, but now it's fine.

before i end this post, i just want to dedicate it to
 NATHALIE NEUBERT, a friend of mine who likes awkward male model poses in fashion books. so i modeled after one we saw in a fashion reference/encyclopedia-esque book. pretty trendy if you ask me. it's really awkward because the male model had his hands in his pockets.. but my skirt obviously has no pockets... so you get THIS V

i remember when discount stores were looked down upon. back in the day when the Juicy Couture and Abercrombie and Hollister were riding at the apex of popularity. times have indeed changed.
what's wrong with discount stores? and what was EVER wrong with them? i've gone to them since, like, forever.
i found this Newlook leather jacket (i was UTTERLY confused when i got this......isn't newlook an UK only brand?,.. i'm in the US... confusing!) at a local discount store for $17, when it retails for about £ 34.99 , or 
$ 55 USD. SCORE. 


my rant on that is now done.
for the rest of this post, i'll inform you of how much i love this lingering cold weather and how much i hate my school work load.

FINALLY! I have caught on with the sheer maxi skirt runway.street trend! i'm absolutely enamored by this trend, it's just too perfect for words.
this maxi skirt is actually two layers--one solid black jersey and sheer black over, so i tucked the under layer into a bandage skirt to secure it. and i must say, i LOVE this effect.
to balance this, i wore a white tank top (though i know people can DEFINITELY pull off all black)

this isn't exactly what i wore today, considering the weather was much too cold and it was pouring incessantly for most of the day. (i wore the shirt--under two layers) so i thought this dress up was ok to post up.

sorry for such horrible posting, school and the weather have stopped me from dressing decently (i'm piling up trench coats and boots... awful because that's all i have for 'cold weather gear') and taking pictures outside.

anyways, i just want to thank all my followers and readers for being ultra supportive and loving.
