Tell me anything, as long as it's true

'
(blazer with leather shoulder accents: UO, striped tank top: my own DIY, blue satin skirt: f21)

YAYY outfit post :D finally.
anyways,  i wore this yesterday.. when the weather was fine. it's supposed to rain tomorrow :/
stupid crazy southern californian weather. i live by the beach, so there's always fog coming in the morning.. yet the afternoon weather is amazingly hectic. sometimes it will be foggy in the morning and extremely cold in the noontime, or even REALLY hot. it's ridiculous!!
so you listened to my weather spiel.

i still have to get my dress for my friend's sweet sixteen party! gah!
will probably be going to shop for it tomorrow.. hopefully i get something i like!
i'm thinking.. strapless, sweatheart neckline, jewel tone.. or something of the kind. :]

+++ i will be participating in 30 HOUR FAMINE starting @ 7:00 am to 1:00 pm on sunday. the event is supposed to give us a real experience on the troubles easily encountered by simply not having any food, which many people in third world countries experience, often exceeding the 30 hours. 30 Hour Famine was created by World Vision, a christian humanitarian organization dedicated to providing third world countries with basic necessities such as food, water, and clothing. I will be fasting, or not eating, for 30 hours XD
wish me luck!

We Won't Run, We Won't Hide

YAYYY!! finally a new DIY! :D

i was super excited when i got my studs and spikes... but i was close to emptied out with no ideas. that is, until i rummaged through my drawer. i found so many cool things, like this black "lace" ish cutout piece. so i decided to use it in a necklace. i originally wanted to do spikes instead of studs, but they just wouldn't stand up straight so i did studs instead. i think it looks great though!
ohh, and btw... i received a comment on the post below: (! enter caroline's modes contest and you could win a 14 piece wardrobe!!)
and someone congratulated me on being on teen vogue's blog.  haha i basically freaked out in my school's computer lab (i have no 7th period) and i immediately checked. i was so surprised!
check it out Here
and this was the actual outfit i entered!
in this post.

thanks for reading!

Read Today

!!!
Caroline's Mode is having a DELIGHTFUL giveaway!

my entry: I absolutely adore this look because it is so casual chic. It has all the right elements that i would look for in a great outfit: the mixture of patterns, from the cool leather detailing on the skirt to the perforations in the ankle boots. I also love patterns, like the stripes in the simple but wonderful long sleeved top, as well as the leather 'pattern' visible in the skirt. Also, the chain belt is a great touch to any outfit. Lastly, the jacket is PHENOMENAL, and it just displays itself as a multi-useful and extremely versatile piece that all fashionistas should have in their closets.

the last day to enter is TODAY, and
the winner for caroline's contest will be chosen TOMORROW!

I'm so excited i just got my package from studsandspikes!!! :D

i love them all. and i'm planning to wear them soon with something!
in the meantime, i will be thinking of some more DIY's and perhaps some jewelry to sell at my etsy, so look forward for that! :]

i love this brand. i just discovered it and ... because i have this INTENSE fascination with tights of all sorts (c'mon.. you rarely see me wearing jeans) my lifelong goal is to obtain a pair of these. i love their whimsical designs.. so cute! they're really unconventional and unusual: and that's why i adore them.

EDIT: MY ETSY SHOP IS UP!!!!

the last two pictures you are seeing right now ^^ are my first piece i have put up in the shop.
btw, i have named the shop the menagerie until further votes are counted up!
---nowww... have to make a header!
i'm excited guys!!
lastly: *30% of ALL purchases will be donated to World Vision, a christian humanitarian organization dedicated to providing third world countries with basic necessities such as clean water, food, and clothing. *

the great outdoors. i'm hating this weather right now. southern california suddenly blasted up like 10 degrees and it got WAY hotter. the weather's supposed to be WINTRY, not high 70's and all that BS. but, it's actually quite nice at night, very cool but not cold.

anyways, i wore this: tankdress from old navy, white socks, f21 patent oxfords, and vintage charles jourdan quilted chain bag.

it took me maybe 20 minutes of photo taking to produce the clear shots that i wanted to put on my blog. my ghetto camera does this thing where sometimes i put it on self-timer... and then the picture comes out COMPLETELY blurred. i seriously need a new camera--why not? chinese new year money!!
haha

soo..keeep on voting guys! right now "The Menagerie" is winning..
i wouldn't have the poll if i could decide between the two, but they're both super appealing to me!! meh..

The Etsy Bitsy Spider

(click for larger images)

finally, camera's back to work! but i still need to charge some batteries (yes, my camera is ghetto beyond comprehension)

but i took a few snaps of my new patent oxfords from f21, they're gleaming and WONDERFUL :D
$25 is decent. i like how shiny they are, and i can wear them with anything yayayy!

shoe collection L-R (these are the ones i USUALLY wear.. others include converse and other flats)
boots from etienne aigner, laceup wedges from dolce vita, patent oxfords from f21, patent strap flats from tjmaxx, and DIY white laceup shoes.
i love it. :)
all i need is something nude!!! i've been looking everywhere, closest: urban outfitters three banded skimmer, $20. i really don't want to pay over 15 for another pair of shoes , yes i am a frugal person most of the time, but they were so flippin' gorgeous. i'm waiting for them to go down to 10. letsee how that works haha!

last things
just bought 70 studs and spikes.. so i'm really looking forward to more DIYS, hope you guys are too! :) some of which may be going in my etsy! VVV

+++i just got a credit/debit/giftcard(?) AmEx so i can finally open up my etsy shop. meanwhile, i'm torn between these two names: originally, "The Menagerie"... and then i thought of "DropShop" .. it makes me think of Topshop!!! haha. that's why i like it. sooooo vote! (poll on right side nav bar )
this decision accounts for what goes on my banner (even though my link has 'the menagerie' in it, meh)
