In The Shadow Of Your Day

NEW black oversized drape sweater: f21, black tank dress with pocket: old navy, black opaque striped tank: target, gloves: Wicked Costumes (lol), DIY studded leather clutch, and YAY you see my shoes!--black lace-up wedges: dolce vita.

i wore all black today. SERIOUSLY. and then when i received my dance costume's lace gloves... i added even more black!! but to keep it from looking all funeral-y i added a two-toned chainlink necklace from my friend chanelle, at belles vetements, and a cross necklace from my mom. then my friend victoria, at my floating balloon pointed out that i looked like a priest/nun XD haha.

so... california weather is really pissy and decided to turn all hot and sunny when the morning was as cold as antarctica and the night before it looked like it was legitimately going to RAIN. i'm serious.

thanks for reading!
---PLANNING  a giveaway soon--- watch out! :)

Printed In The Pages

my outfit today: DIY bow headband, DIY eyelashes tunic, black tights, and vintage charles jourdan bag, OH and not pictured (ok, well you've seen them--f21 patent oxfords)

the weather has finally cooled down! .. for a while. i heard that it would jump up to the 80's during the weekend. and i loathe tomorrow simply because i have piano class. i took a 2 week break after Certificate of Merit and now i'm back to practicing songs for next year.. no more "TGIF's"
EXCITEMENT!: my forever 21 purchase came in yesterday night.. and i was NOT dissappointed. I LOVE this cut. it's a drapey sweater that i ordered a larger size than usual (medium) and it fits just how i want it. i had been wanting one of those "flowy" sweaters for a while, but was looking for something unconventional. UNLIKE the pictures, the back of the sweater is actually pretty long--just how i wanted it. i like the grungy feel of it, but i can't put a finger on what runway look inspired these sweaters.

i have found use for my old leather belt, studs, and miniscule chains that my friend bought for me!
*** 100% my own design and work***

this piece is called "The Kirtland"--named after THE friend that bought the chains :)
so.. i need YOUR opinion.
is this piece worth selling on my etsy (i regret to say.. i have only one item put up.. and no one has offered anything so i kinda gave up for a while :/ ) ??
tell me your thoughts... as you are the normal consumers in the fashion world :D

YAY! detail oriented post for once .

Like A One Armed Star,

my papier-mache project!! :D
we had to use inspiration from SURREALISM. and also have elements of juxtaposition. my inspiration was Rene Magritte, and his common theme of clouds. My second inspiration was Salvador Dali's elephants with elongated legs.
i then proceeded to use dreamy pastel colors to match the surrealistic idea and added light feathers to the tail.

FEATURE! :
OMG i love this girl, Johanna Nyberg. she is really great.
ONLY 18. i cannot believe it.
her drawings have a BEAUTIFUL and SHARP edge to them. it is so gorgeously original, i have never seen anything like it.
i seriously aspire to have my own defined style like this!
ANDDD she has AMAZING style. (lookbook link below V)
you BETTER check out her site!
here are some of my favorites:

you can see her websites here:

enjoy!

I Just Can't Look, It's Killing Me

this is what i wore today.. extremely simple.. but still on key with my 'style'
denim jacket from childhood: Guess, grey sweater tee:hallway closet, black skirt: f21, black tights, and not pictured: patent black oxfords f21

very comfortable.. until i realized how effin' HOT it was.
i think southern california needs to decide on what it wants as its' weather. .
it was probably like high 70s and maybe low 80s today.
okay so everyone's saying "spring's here!" blahahabalhah blah.
i think it's pretty much summer already.
which means: I CAN FINALLY WEAR SHORTS/SKIRTS WITHOUT FREEZING MY LEGS OFF!

+++
my dance costume came today ... very ... interesting.
show's next weeeekkk!
stoked and screwed simultaneously..
3 days to practice, and she just finished the choreography for our last dance.
OYYY.

thanks for reading!

last thing.. i just lost 2 followers.. ?

Please Don't Fight These Hands That Are Holding You

WANTED ITEM OF THE WEEK:
jil sander platforms

no outfit sorries :(( mis cameras is being utterly jacked up if that makes sense.
but before i forget, I LOVE YOU ALL, readers!!
i need to have another giveaway :D (are you pscyhed?)
maybe that will be some wonderful compensation for my awful blogging lately.
thanks for staying true!

ANYHOO--
*** best thing that's probably ever happened to me ... shoewise ***
(ok, forget the time i found those oxfords in my garage after looking for a pair for so long..)
1.) THOSE CREAMY BEAUTIES!! i love the style, i love the shape. it's just what i was looking for basically!
my garage/mom's closet/any closet in my house are quite the black holes, but they're fashionable black holes!
i've found so many items all over my house.. even tools to help me DIY.. if i listed all of them.. you probably wouldn't even bother reading it ahah!
i found them while i was looking for a certain pair of shoes.
the buckle is the best part! i love how it's square shaped but round on the inside, great touch.

2.) i just built (ok.. it's like IKEA status.. if you know what i mean.. you don't really "build" it.. you put it together with the pre-drilled holes and all) BUT i was massively surprised at how patient i was to carry on with it >__<
it's a great storage box, but i thought.. "what in the world would i put in it?"
--i had temporarily stored my totoros and hello kitties and domokuns in that underbed storage. not the best idea.
BING. just like the search engine: i could put my immense collection of magazines (i already had a shelf full of them.. needed a place for the extra WWD'S and huge Riviera's.)
so i categorized and that ^ is what i call "Collage Central." You get the name. i'm a fan of making collages.
*hint hint part of future giveaway i did not say anything*

3.) LOOK AT THAT ADORABLE CHESHIRE CAT. it's the most adorabley-cutesy-fluffy-cuddly version of the cheshire cat i've ever seen. i want a plushie of it. please?
btw--Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland was utterly AMAZING. breathtaking and sooo magical.

4.) I've been lusting for wedges/platforms lately. seriously. these jil sander's would probably end the lust.
buy me a pair. please?

lastly : CAHSEE this week. hooorayyyyy.

(H&M)
(nine west)

outfit: simple and sschweet----- old navy black tank dress with pocket, black tank top, black tights, black wedges (not pictured.) and black diy studded headband.
MAN i felt like i was attending a funeral today!! but i just LOVE... LOVE. black.

the diy was super easy and it looks amazing: i just attached 3 studs to the VERY side of the headband. i was thinking of conventional headbands that usually have decorative touches on the diagonal or something, so i put them on the very right/left.. depending on how i wear it. but i love it :D

THOSE SHOES!!! i want them so much. thanks H&M, for crushing my dreams and not having an online store for us people in America :( i had to go on the Austrian website to look at stuff.
BOO
i love the hue of the nine westies.. it's so pale and gorgeous. almost like a really light nude-ish color/ beige.
BOO. $unreasonable price$
anyhoo.

I Will Never Let You Go, If You Promise Not to Fade Away

(click for larger images)

what i wore today and yesterday:
1) blue striped shirt with denim collar: mom, gray bandage skirt: crush, black tights, and not pictured: dolce vita wedges.
2) burgundy scarf: H&M, striped shirt: mom, leggings, and not pictured: black f21 oxfords
[sorry my shoes are never in pictures! not allowed to wear them in the house]

so there's a story behind the blue shirt i was wearing today.
Chelsea King was a high school girl on cross country in the San Diego county area. One day she was running  alone, when she was raped and murdered. our school and many other schools across socal had a memorial service for her, and we were encouraged to wear light blue (the color of her eyes). it was an extremely sad and truly eye-opening event that reminded us of making safety a priority.
Please pray for her family.

WELL, not to leave you on a sad note: SWEDISH FISH!!!!
the best thing ever. i forgot to blog about it yesterday.. so here they are.
YUM.
