Things fancy eggs and clothes have in common...

AH. So Balmain was literally MINDBLOWING-from the ridiculously intricate details to the beautiful fluidity of the collection despite its vast differences. I found the embellished minidresses (Rousteing's best) to be the highlights of the show, but I have profound appreciation for its other aspects, like the boxy moto-inspired jackets, quilted leather, and the extensive use of leather and velvet.

I personally believe that Olivier Rousteing has done wonders for the House of Balmain. His succession after Decarnin was smooth, and I have nothing but praise for this 25 year old of unbelievable talent.

"Fabergé egg-style in thousands of pearls and crystals" (nicole phelps, style.com) I definitely understand Phelps' perception of Rousteing's inspiration!

So.......... here is picture of Olivier thinking of Faberge eggs.
(cutie)

be sure to come back tomorrow for another post!

something eggs and fancy things have in common: they both break easily :)

and they both keep getting more and more expensive!
