As anticipated, the gowns at Elie Saab were SPECTAC-PHENOME-COOL and breathtakingly detailed. An unsuspected favorite of mine, however, was the beaded jumpsuit (third look), which was both elegant yet daring. Bravo, Elie.
Riccardo Tisci has always been up there on my list, and this collection reaffirmed his position. I especially love the meticulous leather detailing and the boxy silhouettes of the first few looks, so magnificent. The more risque lace detailing and barely-there straps (and the bright jewel tones) were also quite beautiful.
I loved the varying use of textures, prints, and hues throughout this collection. The fiery red/orange color was right on queue for fall, as well as the rich gold tones. The gold embroidery (?) detailing in the last few pieces was really interesting too.
