The kitsch-street art-psychadelic trip theme at MANISH ARORA was unsettling yet oddly interesting. I loved the variegated use of texture, hues, and patterns (graffiti that isn't tacky! hooray!).
Thank God, Mr. West pulled it together and got his head around the fact that fur is a FALL, not spring, staple. The subdued danger was well balanced, although I did think he overdid the bandage strapped boots. The structure of the second coat is AMAZING though!
Carol and Humberto are SUCH a dynamic duo. Taking on Kenzo makes them even more cool! The voluminous skirts and pattern mixing is fantastic!
Oh, Alber. I think Alber is the younger version of Karl Lagerfeld... Chic, elegant, and daring. Three words to describe it all. There were some great silhouettes and diamante details in the collection!
Tailored pantsuits in cool prints? Yes, please! The Baroque/scroll motif that was plastered everywhere was just so nice to look at. And those link dresses at the end? Spectacular and reminiscent of the crystals in their Spring 2010 collection.
I loved the crisp edges and muted palette in this collection. The minimal silhouettes and subtle peplums were definitely a plus.
