PRE-FALL 2011 BEST OF THE BEST
DEREK LAM
absolutely loved the palette in this collection. the transition from droopy silhouettes and drapery to fitted and tailored pieces was so easy. can't resist army green and black!
GIVENCHY
the layering in this was awesome--exactly what i want to be waering for fall this year
THE ROW
fitted and super sleek silhouettes throughout the entire collection, from pantsuits to sexy dresses. love!
THAKOON
i saw how big this collection was and i gasped. but the ones above are my favorite! i love how thakoon incorporated mixed prints, textures, and cuts in this collection. especially love the simplicity of the sheer overskirts.
CALVIN KLEIN COLLECTION

CALVIN KLEIN COLLECTION
francisco costa is one of the best translators of minimalism in his clothing. the palette of these pieces is really soothing and edgy (those sharp lines and drapey hems!) at the same time. super simple, but super flawless.
sorry for my HORRIBLE posting. (just to warn you... finals is coming... that means less posting :( i wish blogger had queue!)

Come on, come out, the weather is warm
SIZE L sweater (worn as dress... lulz): ross ;D, $10!!!
skinny leather boys belt: ross ($5)
lace up boots: DV for target
rings: (L-R) secondhand, crossroads exchange; forever 21; ebay
love this outfit, and although i'm wearing this as a dress... the 75-80 degree rays are hitting me and i feel like i'm burning (i rarely burn. RARELY.)
anyways, today i went shopping at the Irvine Spectrum and only went to like 3-4 stores, thank GOD. there were way too many people and way too many stores to browse through. plus every other girl was dressed like a "ho-ho dumpling" (Nathalie Neubert, 2010), in other words, denim shorts skimming their cheeks (you know what i'm talking about), CROP TOPS (for God's sake, you can only wear a crop top if you're someone like Chloe Sevigny and can actually style it right... -____-), and a brilliant rainbow of vans. i'm sorry, that's not how i roll. sometimes, when i wish that my city/area could just be a bit more fashion forward, i realize that i can differentiate myself THROUGH my style, which is something i've done through this blog and since about freshman year :D
WELLLL, rant over.
those are all besides THE POINT: i got a gnarly pair of camel colored trousers from Foreign Exchange for $14, a black mermaid-ish hem maxi from F21, $10, and some SPECIAL things that will be going in a giveaway that is coming soon
(WHEN WE HIT 550//600, someone lucky will be winning some of my designs with a whole bunch of other goodies!)
+++Happy Martin Luther King Day! Thank you Dr. King for leading the movement to equality for everyone!

tights: target
boots: target

sorry for the longlonglonglong break since the last post.
well today's outfit was stellar(to me...at least) but i forgot to change the resolution on my dad's camera, so the pictures are kind of small and unclear D:
anyways, the last two pictures are of some sketches that are hopefully good enough to put into a "faux portfolio" for my school project (it's not for fashion school.... those would have to be WAY better...)
+++ thank you so much crazy pig, for the beautiful and very well done picture of me! :D i love fan art!
thanks for reading and keeping up with my horrendous posting,
and welcome and thank you to all my new followers :)
giveaway soon.......jewelry collection on the rise....and hopefully a lookbook to follow, and more items in my shop!

I hoped that they would clear my mind
[ITCHY!] wool sweater: stolen from my dad
polka dot skirt: mom
tights: gift
bag: mom
i love this outfit, even if the sweater is itchy. i like balancing volumes in outfits--the proportion of the sweater is balanced with the simple silhouette of the skirt. i added some print to keep it playful. once i get a thin black belt (which i severely need) you guys will be seeing me belting a whole bunch of stuff. :D
thanks SO much for reading. i will try to get back to you all on the weekend. <3
spread the word!
i can't wait for the end of school to roll by...... there's a surprise involving a yearbook...

Crystallized
black coat: mom
black dress: old navy
black sweater: my mom's friend
black leggings: walmart ;D
black boots: dv for target
black moto vest: UO
have you noticed anything yet........... hahah
i love all black ensembles and adding glimmers of metal like jewelry to make them pop out even more.
while using my dad's camera proved very effective and MUCH better in resolution and clarity than mine, i'm still vying for a dslr that can capture the details--i'd like you guys to see the layering in my outfit, lol.
look at those dark rain clouds! they're crazy! this hour when i took the pictures was the only time when the camera could take decent pictures without spazzing out and sizzling in the rain water. in another 30 minutes, i predict that it will begin to pour, then stop for another hour, then continue in this vicious cycle. oh socal weather.
anywho, with 2011 out and about, i have myself a couple of resolutions...i'll list the ones that pertain to my blog :)
-networking as often as possible, i like talking to you guys :)
-getting a nice camera so i can get detailed shots AND so i can finally get high quality pictures of the jewelry i WILL be making to sell in my shop :D (which i MIGHT move to bigcartel.. i think it's more aesthetically pleasing).
-i'd also like to raise the percentage of donated funds to world vision from my jewelry sales to %50. it makes me happier to give back more, and it saves me the math ;D
thanks for reading and taking time to hear me out !

words only
For the year of 2010,
i have experienced the following:
happiness and sadness, excitement and disappointment, encouragement and derision, laughter and tears, content and bitterness, friendship and loss of relationships, hard work and laziness, appreciation and annoyance, love and hate, and times when i felt lost and confused and times when i felt absolutely found and guided in the right direction.
I thank GOD my father for this year of living (and my life)
that I had the opportunity to (cyber)meet all of you and just be able to see each others lives via blogging!
Thank you all for being SO supportive and just taking time to read and comment on my little life here in the US.
♥
