I just spent the last few days in Alexandria, VA / Washington D.C. with my roommate for a short but fun spring break trip. Yesterday, we got away from the quick pace of NYC and entered into relaxed atmosphere of the Neoclassical architecture-land of DC. We walked the Mall and visited the Jefferson Memorial, the Capitol Building, the White House, the Smithsonian, and the surrounding area. 

These pictures were taken in front of an adorable seafoam painted storefront on King Street in Old Town Alexandria. All the buildings are connected but painted in different hues and look like rows of pastel petit fours!

Blogger Bonanza | SHOUT - Get in the Mix

So my poses may be repetitive/awkward, but  much thanks to Nicolette Battista for patiently capturing them while I yelled "over there! that's a good place!" :)  I also just received this skirt from Sugarlips the other day, and I'm in love with it! The skirt is actually supposed to have a diagonal colorblock pattern, but I moved it so it was like a chevron. The pleats and the colors are absolutely fantastic! (Get the skirt here) These photos were from tonight's adventures - I was invited to attend an OC blogger mixer-esque event at the OC Mart Mix in Costa Mesa. The tribal pattern embroidery/weave on these shorts are AMAZING, I got so many compliments on them at school today :) Much thanks to Jacqueline @ Sugarlipsapparel! 2.) Ah, this satchel. Literally so versatile. You will be seeing more of it in the future!
I fell in love with this dress the moment I saw it! I feel like a modern Laura Ingalls Wilder//bohemian in this adorable printed chiffon dress! The dress is from this amazing boutique (2 locations one on the Balboa Peninsula and the other on the Pacific Coast Highway in Corona Del Mar) called Bohemia Boutique. I visited the store in CdM, and I was amazed at the selection of items there-beautiful block color pieces as well as prints everywhere! Their accessory selection and array of bangles and earrings are above par.

If you ever happen to stop by Newport Beach or Corona del Mar, make sure you drop by Bohemia Boutique for affordable and chic pieces!
